Biffin Family - Wiltshire & Hampshire

The earliest Biffen we have on record so far, is John Biffen/Beavn

born around 1659 in West Lavington, Wiltshire. John's great-grandson

Richard and family were recorded as having moved to Southampton,

Hampshire around 1833 and were listed as "Poor of the Parish"  

(It was John's great-great-grandson, Thomas b. 1792 who immigrated

to Australia in  1838)

Richard and Isabella's son John, and his wife Mary. Following

is their "removal" from Bishops Stoke to South Stoneham, dated

October 11th 1828.

the Southamapton & Parish images, are all from Carol Cowley (nee

Biffin) 6th great grand daughhter of John.
