William, Melinda and their
children came out to New South Wales as bounty
passengers on th
"Clyde", bought out by A.B. Smith & Co.
They sailed from Liverpool,
England on the 28th November 1839. The ship stopped at
Rio on February
6th and arrived in Sydney, New South Wales on April 20th 1840
On his Bounty record William
complained of "not having medical comforts for a child
when sick and
died in the course of conveyance".
William and family settled in
Camden and the children attended the local
school on the Camden
Estate.
