A.I.F. on the 9th June 1916 at Cairns, Queensland. He is

Edward was transferred to
the 1st machine Gun Battalion. Edward saw service in
France and Belgium. He was
granted leave to Scotland 12th March 1918 to 31st March
1918 and rejoined his
Battalion in France. On the 29th April 1918 he was promoted to
Corporal. On the 18th
July he was despatched to the Lewis Gun School. Edward
returned to Australia on the
19th May 1919 and was discharged from service on the
26th June
1919.
