Sandy hair. William was discharged as medically unfit "not
due to misconduct" on the
28th June
1918.
William then re-enlisted on
the 2nd July 1916 at Sydney. he was discharged in
consequence of Expiration of
Period of Enlistment on the 31st December 1918.

service in France where he was wounded (gassed)
in action in
the field on the 22nd August
1918. He was invalided to the UK. Henry returned to
Australia on the
