publican and held the license for the Australia Inn at Castlereagh in
1840 to 1847. he also ran the
Bush Tavern on the sydney road. John and jane were the parents
of 8 children. In 1855 he was
publican to Australia Inn in Castlereagh St Sydney, and later the
Square and compass Inn in George
St sydney. John was
found to be insolvent in 1856. he was
said to be a
gambler. Jane died March 1851 in sydney and John died 11
Oct 1869
