He married (2) Roseina Ellen Delma Shoesmith 06 July 1852 in Maitland, New South Wales,

daughter of William Shoesmith and Harriet Drury.  She was born 24 August 1834 in Sussex,

England, and died 09 December 1874 in Jones Island, Taree, New South Wales. 

He married (3) Susannah Jane Lawrence (Source: Marcia Parkes - 2006.) 11 March 1876 in

Largs, New South Wales, daughter of Luke Lawrence and Sarah Osborne.  She was born 11 July

1838 in Merriott, Somersetshire, England and died 22 May 1903 in Taree, New South Wales.

Alex was a signatory on the 8th May 1897 petition to the Postmaster General to vouch for the

character of Mr. Ambrose Longworth as suitable to be Postmaster of Ghinni Ghinni Post Office.
Alex gives his residence as Ghinni Ghinni.

Alex was then a signatory on the 10th October 1906 Petition requesting that the business hours of

the Ghinni Ghinni Post Office be extended.
