Alexander saw service in
France where he was wounded (gun shot
wound face and
chest) in action in the
field on the 13th August 1918. He died from his wounds on the
16th August 1918 in the 14th
General Hospital, Boulogne. Alexander's father received

10th April 1919. These included a letter from the Bank of
New South Wales (London
