Fuller:
Alfred enlisted with the A.I.F. on the 10th March 1917 at the Royal Naval
House, Sydney. He is described as 5ft 9 1/4in. 9st. with a Fresh Complexion,
Brown eyes and Brown turning Grey hair. Albert saw service in France. He was
appointed as Driver in May 1918. In September 1918 he was invalided to the
UK with a crush Toe and admitted to the Reading War Hospital. He was then
transferred to the Australian Army Postal Service. Alfred returned to Australia
on the 30th October 1919 and was discharged from service on the 29th
November
